This 90-acre public preserve extends from the Matanzas River to the Atlantic Ocean. At the narrowest point in the scenic corridor at the northern boundary of the Town of Marineland, one can see the open expanse of the Matanzas River to the west, while the coquina rock beach is visible just over a short dune to the east. Launch a canoe or kayak and explore the Matanzas estuary. The beach is a favorite for surf fishing. Beachside features a restored dune system where hotels have been removed and a new boardwalk now overlooks the coquina beach. The preserve is comprised of a maritime hammock of live oaks, coastal strand, beaches, beach dunes and saltwater marshes.

Hours of operation: Access is open Sunrise to 11 p.m.
