Tucked away in western Flagler County lies Haw Creek Preserve, a 1005- acre tract of land set aside to preserve the cypress oak and hardwood swamp that borders Haw Creek. May Haw trees line the creek and produce the small apple like fruit from which the creek gets its name. The fruit is popular for making jelly. A winding boardwalk overlooks the creek. Launch your canoe, kayak or boat for a scenic tour or excellent fishing in the dark creek waters.
Haw Creek Preserve is also listed on the Great Florida Birding Trail! Glimpse an osprey, great blue heron, or anhinga from this 1005 acre preserve bordering Haw Creek.
